Holidays in the Canaries

The Canary Islands consists of Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Palma and Fuerteventure. There are a fewer smaller and less known Islands such as Gomera and Hierro but these are also less popular destinations.

Things to do on the Canary Islands include the usual beach type holidays but you also have the Islands many volcanoes to visit.

The largest of the Canary Islands is Tenerife and it is also the most visited.

If you don't want a package holiday then booking a villa or self catering apartment in the Canaries is easy, there are many companies on the internet offering this type of holiday. Flights to Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma and Fuerteventure are now very cheap. EasyJet are one example of companies that offer discount flights to Lanzarote and the other Canary Islands.

Weather in the Canary Islands

Situated off the coast of Morocco and Spain the Canaries have a climate that stays fairly constant throughout the whole year.

The average daily temperatures are around 20 degrees.
